Coach shoes

These two gorgeous styles finally went on sale and I had to try both. The mules are actually new, in their fall rollout, and also come in black. They're listed as a 4" heel but feel like a 3.5" at most. Trust me, I cannot do a true 4" heel.

The black pumps have a gold sole, including lining the heel back in gold. They visually look huge, like a size 8, but fit reasonably snug. I'm a true 6M and took my true size in both.

I'm questioning the black. Does it look OTT? Does it look like Roger Vivier, or witchy poo?

J Crew Regent blazer

Sizing: I took my usual-for-blazers one size down: a 00. The charcoal fits better than the red in the sleeves, though both are regular 00.

Pros: I like the drama of the stand up clear and the way it frames my face/neck. I love the piping at the base of the collar - in the charcoal blazer it's done in a deep forest green. I like the lean and long cut.

Cons: the woollen fabric is thin (like the schoolboys) and seems to wrinkle even more readily than the woollen schoolboys.

OOTE: for an upcoming dinner event

I had the silk top shortened by about 1.5" and the trousers shortened by one hem length.

Suede Bartlett boots

Sizing: TTS. I bought my usual size 6.

Pros: made of supple soft suede. Feels silky to the touch. Trendy heel

Cons: upper is too soft for my taste (can wrinkle upon wearing) and the nose of the shoe is unimpressive. 

Returned.
