Printed Minnie Pants in Cotton Twill, 00

Pros: sturdy, smooth cotton twill, feels soft to the touch; pretty patterns

Cons: that ridiculous over formed calf on the Minnie post 2012 re-design: I will be getting the legs slimmed/straightened on both pairs.

Verdict: the navy flowered Minnie's remind me an awful lot of the patterned tights by Cynthia Rowley featured by Pink Peonies  recently. The resemblance of the pattern is uncanny. (See here:

Both are flattering in the standard Minnie way. Keep both.

Strike a pose.

Marled jewel-necked sweatshirt, XS, Navy-ivory

Pros: slim fit; hits right at hip; medium thickness; neat; pretty neckline, going all the way around the neck.

Cons: it's another jeweled sweatshirt - and if you wear it like a sweatshirt, you're signing up for a silly amount of dry cleaning; don't love the particular rhinestones chosen - opal lookalike a (white) and clear diamanté (shiny). Jewels in the back will snag long hair: ugh.

Sizing: TTS

Verdict: cute, wearable, simple and put together. Keep.

My vitals

I am petite (5,2.5") and slim (~100lbs).

I am a size 00 in J Crew pants and a size 0 in tops (bra size: 34B).

I always buy a size 0 in outerwear and prefer the trim look of a 00 in blazers (esp. Schoolboys, though then they don't button).

Welcome to my first review post. Let's see how this goes!

Cotton Twill Swing Trench, size 00, modern red (which is the reddish orange JC trots out under that name, as usual).

Pros: stiff cotton, no detail spared, water repellant (it will bead on the fabric), hook closure at collar, two back vents, nice cuffs on sleeves, hidden buttons, cute shape

Cons: HUMONGOUS; added 20 lbs to me instantly, sleeve and coat length ok even for petites; no detail spared (*two* storm flaps?!); stiff fabric; poly lining.

Sizing: size down two sizes if you want to try it out, without fear. The designers could not have imagined us looking like balloon fish, fie on them if they did!

Verdict: Return.  Do not buy on sale.

Lifting storm flap on chest. One on each side.
