J Crew Collection Cafe Capri in Windowpane Floral

Pros: beautiful print in the lovely silk twill that is now standard for JCrew pants like this; cut like they always are at the hip with a slim leg; lovely for spring/summer/Easter

Cons: dry clean only; unlined (they don't need it)

SiZing: TTS. I took my usual 00

Verdict: keepers. My pictures are from this Easter when I wore them to an Easter egg hunt.

They're an awesome deal on sale right now. Go for it!

I swapped out the shirt. I can never remember which blouse I have that will work perfectly at the time that I need it!

    1. It is my pleasure, Gigi!
Aren't they great, though, with the right colours and the pattern on the print too!

  2. These are very cute and I'm tempted. Looking through your reviews, I saw you tried the photo lace pant. I bought those too but ended up going up a size as they were quite snug. The windowpane pants appear to be cut a little looser on you or is that just the way the photo looks? Once again thanks so much for taking the time to post this!

    1. Hi Shopping Celle! My pleasure!
I would say that these are cut the same as the photo lace floral pants, no difference in cut or fit on me. In fact the windowpane floral leg looks quite snug to me, cut relatively close to form (I'm looking at the side view) compared to other versions of the cafe Capri I've tried over the years from JCrew. I'd suggest making a phonecall to place the order, and asking if you can either get a size recommendation, comparing garment measurements for this pant vs the photo lace floral, or being allowed to buy two sizes with a note to return one. Usually, they'll make a note to let you return the final sale item, no matter which of these two routes you take, if you explain that you're confused by their sizing and have no idea what to expect in this garment. Good luck!

    2. Sorry about the awful punctuation and grammar up there! Blog land is just terrible for my writing!
